We are a young and dynamic research group focused on the discovery of new electroactive molecular materials combining synthetic organic chemistry, physical chemistry and materials science. We are part of CIQUS (University of Santiago de Compostela, Spain). Part of the team and equipment are located at the CICECO-Aveiro Institute of Materials (University of Aveiro, Portugal).

Our research encompasses the design, synthesis and characterization of electroactive organic/hybrid molecules/polymers as well as the study of their electrical, optical and magnetic properties. We also deal with the fabrication of molecular-based devices towards applications in electronics and energy storage. We have a strong cooperative spirit maintaining collaborations with groups from different parts of the world.

Raquel and Manuel participated in the Organic Battery Days 2023 (7-8 June, Donostia-San Sebastián, Spain) whereas Catarina attended the MOF school 2023 (19-23 June, Lake Como, Italy).

The first edition of the Iberian Symposium on Functional Organic Polymers (#ISFOP2023) was held on May 11 and 12 at the University
