WELCOME TO ELECTROMOLMAT
We are a young and dynamic research group focused on the discovery of new electroactive molecular materials combining synthetic organic chemistry, physical chemistry and materials science. We are part of CIQUS (University of Santiago de Compostela, Spain). Part of the team and equipment are located at the CICECO-Aveiro Institute of Materials (University of Aveiro, Portugal).
Our research encompasses the design, synthesis and characterization of electroactive organic/hybrid molecules/polymers as well as the study of their electrical, optical and magnetic properties. We also deal with the fabrication of molecular-based devices towards applications in electronics and energy storage. We have a strong cooperative spirit maintaining collaborations with groups from different parts of the world.
Part of the team attended the 9th EuChemS (7-11 July, Dublin, Ireland) and the MOF2024 (15-19 July, Singapore) conferences.
Raquel has completed a PhD research stay (funded by IMFAHE’s Global Portugal Fellowship 2023, IMFAHE Foundation) in the Lutkenhaus Lab at Texas A&M University.
Fanni (from Budapest) and Tianshu (from Beijing) are starting the PhD journey at CiQUS. Welcome!
